Chino Hills Animal Hospital and Pet Resort is a 10 DVM practice, open 7 days a week. We are a fast-paced hospital looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a long-term career and to grow with a practice. Our hospital is fully equipped with in-house laboratory, digital radiography, full anesthesia monitoring, and a fully equipped surgical suite. We recently completed a full remodel of the practice including upgraded equipment and technology, additional exam rooms, and a Pet Resort. Applicants must have a minimum of 1-year experience as a Veterinary Technician, available to work weekends, and work full-time (40 hours a week).
As a Registered Veterinary Technician you are the primary support to Veterinarians and patients alike. Veterinary Technicians must be able to pay attention to detail, respond quickly and calmly at all times, and maintain the highest quality of patient care and client service.
Duties*:
- Injections (IV, IM, SQ).
- Calculate drug dosages.
- Maintain necessary logs.
- Bandaging.
- Communication skills.
- Client education skills.
- Pharmacology knowledge.
- Proper restraint and handling of patients.
- Surgical prep and assisting.
- Anesthesiology monitoring.
- Laboratory skills.
- Venipuncture.
- IV catheter placement.
- Intubations.
