Nemours Children’s Health is looking for a Part-time RN to work in our pediatric outpatient clinic in Ft. Walton Beach, FL.
Schedule: Two days per week (Monday and Wednesday, 8 am to 5 pm).
In this role the candidate will assist with office visits ensuring all appropriate documentation accompanies patient to exam rooms; take pertinent medical history with entry into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) telephone triage of patient/family needs as well as the education of patients/families on appropriate diseases/conditions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing and coordinating nursing care to the pediatric population and collaborating with other professionals on an institutional, community, state and national level.
- Responsible for patient flow of clinic to include obtaining vital signs, capturing and entering patient information into the EMR, performance of basic laboratory test and entering results in EMR.
- Also responsible for collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, in office testing and rooming patients.
- Ensure provider’s orders are carried out and assists provider with procedures as necessary.
- Familiar with pharmacokinetics, contraindications, side effects, mode of administration of all medications provider prescribes.
- Facilitates medication authorization and handles telephone calls with documentation in EMR.
- Ability to cross cover in all divisions of the clinic.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree required. Baccalaureate of Science preferred
- Current BLS through American Heart Association certificate required.
- Current licensure in Florida as Registered Nurse.
