Community Dental Care seeks full-time Licensed Dental Assistant to join our Robbinsdale team!
***$1,500 – one year commitment bonus with License and Full Time!

We are ideally looking for already licensed Dental Assistans or those who are in the process of obtaining their license. Recent grads and DA students welcome to apply! Clinic pays for license renewals and for the licensing tests if taken within the last three months for full time!

Monday-Thursday 7:20am-4:30pm
Friday 7:20am-2:00pm

POSITION SUMMARY:
To assist in the performance of quality, caring clinical dentistry; to become adept at assigned clinical procedures; to aid the doctor smoothly and unobtrusively. Perform clinical and technical procedures under the supervision of a licensed dentist. The LDA gets the patient ready, prepares the operatory and equipment and assist the doctor during examinations and treatment. Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of patients. Maintain equipment and inventory. Adhere to all required OSHA, health, and Board of Dentistry regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recement intact temporary restorations
  • Place temporary fillings, not including temporization of inlays, onlays, crown and bridges
  • Take Radiographs
  • Take impressions for casts and appropriate bite registration, not to include impressions and bite registrations for final construction of fixed and removable prostheses
  • Apply topical medications including (but not limited to) topical fluoride, bleaching agents and cavity varnishes in appropriate dosages or quantities prescribed by a dentist
  • Placement and removal of rubber dam
  • Removal of excess cement from inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, with hand instruments only
  • Perform mechanical polishing to clinical crowns not including instrumentation. Removal of calculus by instrumentation must be done by a dentist or a dental hygienist before mechanical polishing
  • Remove sutures
  • Monitor a patient who has been induced by a dentist into nitrous oxide inhalation analgesia
  • Place cotton pellets and temporary restorative materials in endodontic access openings
  • Etch appropriate enamel surfaces, apply and adjust pit and fissure sealants
  • Fabricate, cement and adjust temporary restorations extraorally or intraorally
  • Remove temporary restorations with hand instruments only
  • Place and remove matrix bands
  • Administer nitrous oxide inhalations analgesia

**Additional or different duties may be assigned from time to time or on a regular basis

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:

  • Proficiency in a second language preferred
  • Experience in working with culturally diverse, limited-English or non-English speaking patients preferred
  • Knowledge of updated OSHA regulations
  • Demonstrated expertise in dental software
  • Understand and perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to quickly adapt within a constantly changing work environment

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:

  • Required current licenses/certifications: LDA, CPR/AED Certificate – We welcome new grads who are in the process of obtaining their license!
