Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in business or healthcare is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or health is preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position supervises all support staff in primary care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with Sr. Practice Manager Primary care, identifies opportunity for process improvement. Analyzes, identifies, and makes recommendation to improve efficiency and patient through put.
  • Assists with human resource planning and decisions, including supervision, hiring, development and training, and evaluating support staff.
  • Develops, maintains, implements training to enhance support staff competency and skills.
  • Designs work schedules, hours and duty assignments. Coordinates staff schedules and scheduled time off. Responsible for all time keeping (KRONOS) functions.
  • Interacts with IT on computer operations and reporting of issues.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ensures that office space, supplies, and equipment are provided and maintained appropriately.
  • Operates within the context of an established budget. Makes recommendations for annual budget and maximizes opportunities to meet and exceed budget guidelines.
  • Understands and complies with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Works with support staff to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Resolves daily revenue cycle worklists.
  • Accountable for improvements in the performance of quality metrics related to nationally recognized organizations such as Joint Commission, Leapfrog, Center’s for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as related to responsibilities.
  • Accountable for successful achievement of organizational goals.
  • Successfully completes leadership training and demonstrates competency in leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
