Associate Clinical Scientist – WCG – Remote

The Associate Clinical Scientist at Analgesic Solutions, a WCG company, is responsible is highly involved in the design, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of clinical data to clients. This role also leads and supports ongoing internal research activities, such as literature reviews, data analytics, and scientific writing.

Location: U.S. Remote

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Create Data Operations plans with the Analgesic Solutions’ data and clinical teams; specifically focusing on how variables should be analyzed for clinical interpretation according to each clients’ protocol.
• Compile and analyze data signals using multiple database and dashboard systems.
• Prepare client meeting slide decks using data tables and graphs provided by data team.
• Perform preliminary clinical interpretation of data findings and provide initial recommendations for intervention.
• QC data outputs, tables, graphs, Dashboard, and client meeting slide decks.
• Act as backup presenter at regularly scheduled client data analysis meetings.
• Manage Action Log between client and Analgesic Solutions teams.
• Liaise with all internal cross-departmental teams to ensure continuous and effective flow of communications in order to meet project deliverables.
• Support continuous internal process improvements.
• Lead meta analyses, systematic reviews and literature reviews as needed.
• Lead scientific abstracts, posters, presentations, and manuscripts preparation.
• Independently perform data analyses as needed for internal research projects using Excel and SAS/SPSS/R/SQL.
• Manage conference deadlines for scientific communication (e.g. lead internal meetings, manage timelines, write/edit scientific material, manage author collaboration, etc.).
• Work with WCG marketing to create marketing materials to showcase internal research.
• QC WCG Analgesic Solutions marketing materials from the marketing and design teams.

Education Requirements:

• Graduate degree in a scientific field (e.g. pharmacology, psychology, public health)

Experience Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in the clinical industry or related field is required; experience in clinical trials pharmaceutical research is strongly preferred.
• Strong quantitative skills, such as statistical analyses, and mastery of spreadsheets, are required; experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, SQL) is preferred.
• Foundation in scientific review and writing skills. Experience supporting scientific journal publications, conference presentations, and/or conference posters preferred.
• Familiarity with the clinical trial process, GCP, and ICH guidelines required.
• Ability to interpret data and explain the importance of the data to different audiences.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to independently manage and complete multiple assigned projects on time.
• High level of self-motivation, collaboration and ability to communicate effectively as part of a team.
• Strong follow-through skills and ability to proactively identify and solve problems; demonstrated initiative is imperative.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to lead presentation meetings with high-level industry clients.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment, and make reasoned decisions.
• Basic project management skills is desired.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to produce detailed reports and presentations using these tools is required.
