Location: This position will be based in San Jose, CA
Role and Responsibilities:
- Help management make better decisions based on costs and benefits
- Gather and analyze financial data
- Determine standard costs and investigate variances with actual costs
- Estimate costs and compare budgets or forecasts with actual expenses
- Build and maintain product cost models for existing and new products
- Monitor costs after significant changes in products or processes
- Suggest cost-reducing or profitable solutions
- Drive cost reduction reviews, conduct benchmarking, and develop should-be cost models to meet the current and future needs of the company.
- Coordinate cost reduction sessions to meet the current and future needs of the company.
Skills and Experience:
- BS/MS/MBA in Supply Chain or Finance.
- 1-3 years of experience in supply chain, ideally in a manufacturing company.
- Strong verbal, written communication skills in English required.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing/planning functions desired.
- Must be proficient in PowerPoint and Excel (formulas and macros).
- High attention to detail and accuracy character traits needed.
- High energy and self -motivated person required.
- Team player who can foster a collaborative work ethic and keep the team on task.
