Shop Parts/Fleet Administrator – Advanced Pavement Group – Islip, NY

Our Company is currently looking for an experienced Shop/Fleet Administrator This position works directly with the shop in regards to our Fleet and Equipment. Qualified candidates will have impeccable verbal and written communication skills, a strong ability to multi-task and a friendly demeanor.

Shop/Fleet Administrator Job Duties:

  • Work directly with shop mechanics and management to confirm repairs to Fleet/Equipment needed
  • Contact various vendors in regards to part orders for all vehicles and equipment in the yard
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets for cost reporting
  • Utilize RTA system to manage inventory for Purchase Orders, Work Orders, Fleet & Equipment information, ETC.
  • Manage and maintain all vehicles and trailers registration and inspection to ensure up to date
  • Process Registration renewal on DMV website as needed
  • Schedule inspection renewals with various Auto Shops as needed
  • Interact with vendors, employees and following up with their requests
  • Order and maintain stock
  • Assist in locating additional candidates for Hiring in various positions as well as manage paperwork to be filled out

Office Administrator Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with ordering of Auto Parts and tools required
  • Knowledge of Vehicle and Small Engine parts preferred
  • Knowledge of Construction Vehicles and Equipment Preferred
  • Prior Office Administrator Experience Preferred
  • Strong Attention to Detail
  • Ability to Work Without Supervision
  • Excellent Time Management Skills
  • Exceptional Communication and Customer Service Skills
  • Technical Skills, Including Proficiency With Microsoft Office Programs
  • Strong Record Keeping Skills
  • Ability to Multitask and Prioritize Projects
