Strategic Business Specialist

The Strategic Business Specialist will collaborate with external and internal constituents in accordance with the professional standards of the discipline, applicable regulatory requirements and business objectives of the organization to further enhance the outreach affiliations and future affiliated programs with community providers.

This position will manage data collection, validation, analysis, modeling, and coordination of reporting of data. Responsible for analyzing such complex business problems using data to provide insight to decision makers. This may include but not limited to independently performing comprehensive analysis, reporting and overall data across the institution. Such data can vary and can span across financial, clinical, and quality data. In addition, this position will create and distribute data reports and serve as a liaison for developing performance improvement quality and safety projects ensuring the appropriate methodology design and deployment.-BA/BS degree and 3-5 years of experience and/or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

-Extensive project management experience with ability to manage several projects and processes simultaneously.
-Knowledge of business intelligence functions, analytics, industry standards, and best practices.
-Experience producing high-quality reports and documentation.
-Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills to manage complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutions.
-Experience determining and collecting information thorough and in-depth understanding of the quantitative and qualitative analysis.
-Experience conducting complex data analysis projects as well as measuring and monitoring the consistency and accuracy of data produced through statistical analysis.
-Experience and exposure to providing complex data to executive level.
-Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office and applicable statistical software applications.
-Thorough knowledge of computer systems and the ability to effectively utilize software applications (MS Office and Outlook) .
-Proficiency in understanding of relational databases, database structure and design, data management and data warehousing.
-Understanding of medical terminology.
-Experience communicating with diverse audiences including physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, administrator and a wide-variety of nontechnical staff.
-Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
-Lean and Six Sigma training or similar methodologies experience preferred.
-Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management, engineering, mathematics, computer science, healthcare or related field preferred.
-Minimum two years (2) experience working in a health care organization preferred.
-Advanced degree(s), such as MBA, MHA or similar preferred.
-Experience in a large academic healthcare setting preferred.
-Experience in strategic planning, business development, market research, and financial analyses preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT

-Must be able to work variable schedule as needed.
