Purchasing Rep – Schneider National – Green Bay, WI

Purchasing Rep Job Number: 183483 Full-time Monday-Friday 7:30-4:00pm

Schneider has an immediate need for a detail oriented individual to be part of our team in the role of a Purchasing Representative. You will work as a member of a four-person corporate team responsible for vendor relationships and effective supply chain management. The Purchasing Representative will review daily fax and EDI orders to confirm successful transmission to vendors. In this role, you will update aftermarket parts contracts to reflect vendor part number changes and process annual repair parts bid contracts to ensure correct pricing levels. Duties and Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Reviews and processes invoices that are rejected for payment due to incorrect billing rates, quantities, etc. Determines appropriate course of action required to ensure that invoice can be paid in a timely manner.

  • Ensure that suppliers are established correctly within the Schneider inventory management system to facilitate the ordering and payment process.

  • Monitor backorder reports and assist supply chain managers in identifying alternate sources for out of stock parts.

  • Setup and monitor blanket POs for various vendors, ensuring adequate funds are available for annual purchases.

Our preferred candidate will have:

  • Basic AP/AR corporate accounting knowledge.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Stress tolerant.

  • Good judgment and problem solving ability.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access)

  • Familiarity with Oracle-based accounting systems is a plus.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
