Pharmacist – ReGenesis Health Care Community Health Center – Spartanburg, SC

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities related to preparation, dispensing, and sale of prescription and pharmacy-related products.
  • Assure accuracy and appropriateness of each prescription for each patient
  • Counsel patients on the proper use of their medications.
  • Provide pharmaceutical information to the clinical and medical staff.
  • Implement Medication Therapy Management.
  • Maintain Inventory level to company goal, rotate stocks, complies with recalls, and utilize return process. Order, maintain, audit, and ensure compliance with the pharmacy inventory, as it relates to both private and 340B stock.
  • Qualified to participate in federal health care programs, including but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Maintain all state and federal record keeping for legend drugs and controlled substances.
  • Knowledge of laws governing drugs, pharmacy products, and third-party plans.
  • Ensure all works are performed efficiently and effectively by prioritizing workload and organizing workflow.
  • Maintain honesty, integrity and high levels of efficiency and accuracy at all times.
  • Demonstrate practice of and high-level skill in multi-tasking, initiative, customer service, interpersonal relations including building relationships, and resolving conflicts, decision making, problem solving, teamwork, and verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work a variety of schedules to include long hours, evening, holidays and weekends.
  • Professional conduct shall be maintained at all times
  • Collaborate on maintaining current credentialing with ReGenesis Health Care
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance
  • Follow all standards of operations, policies and procedures of ReGenesis Health Care.
  • Attend staff and committee meetings as requested by direct supervisor.
  • Enhances acumen and practical knowledge of quality initiatives through reading and participation in seminars, workshops, etc.
  • Maintain all required permits, licensure, and registration as required by Federal and South Carolina Laws.
  • Ability to care for all patients regardless of source, ethnicity, gender, or medical condition.
  • To understand and demonstrate compliance with both Health Services and Resources Administration (HRSA) and ReGenesis Health Care program requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Must have active pharmacist license in state of practice with all held licenses in good standing and be immunization certified.
  • Access to and familiarity with the SC PMP program
  • Self-motivated with the ability to complete work with a minimum of supervision under tight frames.
  • A predisposition and talent for multitasking, flexibility and willingness to respond appropriately to unforeseen demands.
  • Working knowledge of QS1 and Pharmacy-related software.
  • Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Care facility preferred.
  • Experience with the Patient Centered Medical Home model preferred


Education:
B.Sc. Pharmacy or PharmD degree
