Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – ReGenesis Health Care Community Health Center – Spartanburg, SC

PURPOSE: Within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) renders nursing care in assigned areas to meet individualized client needs, according to dependent and independent nursing functions in conformance with recognized nursing techniques, procedures, and established standards under the direction of a physician or health care provider.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Includes but not limited to: all the duties of a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant AND;
  • Performs delegated independent nursing functions using established procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards in accordance with the South Carolina Nursing Practice ethical and professional guidelines.
  • Accurately documents pertinent observations and interventions in the Electronic Medical Record to aid in the development of the patient centered care plan and the delivery of quality and equitable health care.
  • Carries out physician orders timely and accurately.
  • Maintenance of quality control standards, logs, and point of care testing.
  • Provides instruction/teaching to the patient relative to identified medical and psychosocial problems/needs to aid in positive outcomes.
  • Attends required Clinical and Health Center in-service programs.
  • Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for professional practice, continued growth, and self-evaluation.
  • Complies with the ReGenesis Health Care infection control policies and procedures including Body Substance Isolation (BSI) and the exposure Control Plan which reflects OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
  • Understands and demonstrates compliance with both Health Services and Resources Administration (HRSA) and ReGenesis Health Care program requirements.
  • Maintains appropriate licensure and participates in continuing education activities to exemplify the Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Ensure and uphold the confidentially requirements of all patient records, and manage all daily tasks and activities consistent with HIPAA, state and federal laws and regulations, as well as the clinic?s policies and regulations regarding confidentiality and security.
  • Provide culturally competent quality patient-centered health care in partnership with the communities we serve.

Qualifications:


Education
– Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.


Licensure
: South Carolina LPN Nursing LPN


Certification
– Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.


Experience/Requirements:

  • One to two years’ experience in medical facility/practice
