Residential Supervisor – Missouri Baptist Childrens Home – Springfield, MO

MBCH Children and Family Ministries is seeking a Residential Supervisor for our Branches at Brookline home for disabled adults.

Provide influential leadership for our Residential Specialists, strengthening and supporting our team using the trauma-informed model and Trust-Based Relational Intervention, while providing capable guidance on agency policy and state license requirements. Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Interviewing, hiring, and building a cohesive team using exceptional supervisory skills
  • Weekly supervision with staff to define consistent expectations & provide crucial feedback
  • Scheduling, coordinating coverage, stepping in to serve in any under-staffed area on campus
  • Developing strong staff members through productive shadowing and supportive individual training plans
  • Ensuring continuous development and evaluation of all programs, monitoring daily unit activities and adherence to program guidelines
  • Client case management, including meeting the needs of clients, attending treatment plan meetings, proper documentation

After the six-month assessment period the following benefits begin:

  • Employee is eligible for a ½ step merit raise (based on 6-month performance appraisal).
  • Employee begins retirement program. On a monthly basis, the agency will put the equivalent of 10% of the employee’s monthly salary into the retirement account. (The 10% is not taken out of the salary.) Fully vested after five years at 20% per year schedule.
  • Employee begins accruing 80 hours of vacation time per year.
  • Employee begins accruing 80 hours of sick time per year. (Sick time can be carried over from year-to-year and accumulated.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services field required, MSW preferred
  • Two years of relevant social services experience required
  • Proven experience in organizational skills, program development, public relations, relationship-building
  • Successful completion of any initial and recurrent training and/or certification required of this position
  • Prior successful experience managing people at the supervisory level strongly preferred
