Salary: $90,000 – $125,000 per year

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our leading Non-Profit healthcare company. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage all aspects of our accounting department. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies, GAAP and non-profit regulations.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the accounting department, ensuring excellence in the delivery of all financial services and reporting.
• Ensure the timely and accurate production of financial reports in accordance with GAAP and non-profit regulations.
• Manage the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
• Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Collaborate with the management team to support overall department goals and objectives.
• Engage in continuous education and staff development.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• At least 3+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager in a manufacturing or similar industry.
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations, particularly GAAP and non-profit regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks.
• Superior attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
