We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the position of Permanent Healthcare Director of Quality & Risk. This critical role will oversee and manage all aspects of quality and risk management in our healthcare facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our quality improvement and risk management programs. This role is integral to ensuring our organization meets and exceeds local, state, and federal healthcare standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
The Permanent Healthcare Director of Quality & Risk will be responsible for the following:
1. Developing and implementing policies and procedures for risk management and quality improvement in accordance with state and federal regulations.
2. Overseeing and managing all aspects of quality and risk management.
3. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal healthcare regulations and standards.
4. Leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality improvement program.
5. Collaborating with other department leaders to identify and mitigate potential risks.
6. Regularly assessing and analyzing organizational risk, and implementing preventative measures.
7. Conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
8. Preparing and presenting regular reports on quality and risk management to senior leadership and stakeholders.
9. Providing training and guidance to staff on quality and risk management issues.
10. Responding promptly to any instances of non-compliance or risk, and implementing corrective actions.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the position of Permanent Healthcare Director of Quality & Risk, candidates must possess the following:
1. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare quality and risk management.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare compliance and state and federal healthcare regulations.
4. Experience with state and federal survey processes.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
8. The ability to develop and implement effective quality and risk management strategies.
9. The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
10. Certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Risk Management (CPHRM) is preferred.
