A leading company in the construction industry is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Manager-Life Science and Healthcare. This role is perfect for individuals who have a passion for life science and healthcare construction and are ready to take on exciting challenges in the field. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing various construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This is a unique opportunity to work in a vibrant environment and make a significant contribution to the healthcare and life science industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the planning, design, and construction of life science and healthcare facilities, including ground-up hospital construction.
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring they align with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project issues.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Provide regular project updates to senior management, including progress reports and forecasts.
  • Resolve any project-related issues or disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and innovation in project management strategies.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in a project management role within the construction industry, specifically in life science and healthcare construction.
  • Proven experience in ground-up hospital construction and healthcare construction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve project-related issues effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
