Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Research and recommend corporate strategies, objectives, and policies to management
- Develop and maintain fiscal policies and procedures, including internal controls
- Work with the team to ensure successful completion of the annual budget and external audit
- Oversee Purchasing Department, including vendor negotiations, policies, procedures, and developing and executing purchasing strategies
- Manage policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations for accounting, payroll, and purchasing departments
- Monitor Coupa to ensure maximum efficiency, including proper protocols and best practices
- Manage financial statement reporting, audit and analyze company expenses and revenue, including producing financial proformas and various analyses
- Liaise between banks and other financial institutions to ensure maximum returns and effective cash flow management
- Participate in quality improvement activities
- Manage team of accounting staff: provide performance counseling; assess training needs and promote developmental activities; conduct team meetings, and foster teamwork; evaluate, coach, and develop team performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, Master’s preferred
- 5+ years of controller or high-level accounting leadership experience required
- Experience working in healthcare or non-profit environment
