As a Manufacturing Engineer at Rhythmlink, you’ll:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for engineering duties primarily associated with sustained manufacturing of disposable medical devices. This position is accountable for sustaining and improving manufacturing processes and includes equipment installations and validations, process changes, quality/cost improvements, process control, and sustained engineering for both the Columbia, SC and Shenzhen, China manufacturing locations. In addition to the following: 

  • Optimize production workflows using lean engineering principles.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for quality enhancement and waste reduction.
  • Support high-volume manufacturing for seamless production runs.
  • Collaborate on the design and development of new manufacturing processes.
  • Draft protocols and reports for production equipment validation.
  • Develop business cases for capital equipment acquisition.
  • Play a key role in greenfield startup projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications in manufacturing or project management (LSS belts, PMP, CAPM, etc.) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in lean engineering with a strong record of process optimization.
  • Expertise in supporting high-volume manufacturing.
  • Experience in greenfield startup environments highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software like SOLIDWORKS, Minitab, etc.
