At Blue Bridge the future is exciting! We believe that it is a place of possibility and the destination of dreams. Usually it looks like hope, potential, and imagination, bound together by optimism for what’s to come.

But for parents of children with Autism, the future can feel foggy. For many, it’s filled with more fear than excitement, more worry than hope. When just getting through the day can seem like a challenge, thinking past tomorrow can seem impossible. Long term vision is often traded for the immediate practicality of right now.

Doing the best they can with the tools they have, parents and teachers set plans to help, guide, and evaluate along the way. But these children often need more pointed guidance and specialists who can help bridge the gap in their learning and set them up for future success.

That’s where you come in! We are looking for behavior technicians that have the same passion to facilitate growth and inspire hope. The right fit will have prior experience working in social services or have a strong desire to help others, as well as excellent communication skills and an understanding of how to effectively work with individuals on the autism spectrum.

REQUIREMENTS:
Although we don’t require specific experience, we do look for certain characteristics, including:

  • A genuine drive to help individuals with autism and their families achieve goals and make progress.
  • The ability to consistently demonstrate creativity, compassion, respect, empathy, energy, kindness, and reliability.
  • Willingness to learn about autism, learning differences, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) treatment.
  • A passion to stay trendy and playful, because we believe that learning should be fun!
  • As a behavior technician you will implement 1:1 behavior therapy to individuals with autism in their natural setting, such as in their home, school, or community.
  • Examples of skills you will help to facilitate may include teaching individuals how talk, socialize, play, interact with others, complete daily living skills, and function independently, while helping reduce any inappropriate behaviors.
