Mental Health Therapist/Clinical Services Provider – Penn State University – Pennsylvania

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Berks is currently hiring for a Mental Health Therapist/Clinical Services Provider. This is a full-time, 10 month, level 3 position (Aug-May). This position reports to the Coordinator of Counseling Services.

This position Requires a Master’s Degree or higher in Social Work or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Individual must be licensed or license eligible Social Worker or equivalent.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Provide initial consultation for students with a wide range of mental health, behavioral and emotional concerns.

  • Provide crisis assessment and intervention including assessment for safety.

  • Provide individual, couples, and group psychotherapy.

  • Provide appropriate disposition including on and off campus referrals.

  • Provide consultation regarding complex crises and mental health concerns to the University community.

  • Provide educational programs and outreach to address campus issues

  • Complete special projects under supervision.

  • Collaborate with psychiatric and health care providers as necessary.

  • May participate in local, regional and/or national professional associations

  • Serve on campus/University committees.
