Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments. Each year, more than 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care, in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each child with the academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community

The Weekend Program Supervisor position is currently available for CBHS Brandywine Brier Program with a schedule that includes 7am-11pm every Saturday & Sunday and 3pm-11pm on Wednesday.

Devereux Children’s Behavioral Health Services is currently seeking a Weekend Program Supervisor, located in Glenmoore, PA. Devereux Brier Program provides psychiatric residential treatment and education services for adolescents females who experience behavioral and psychiatric challenges, often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. As a Weekend Program Supervisor at Devereux’s Brandywine Programs you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. The Program Supervisor is responsible to plan and implement residential program services for assigned individuals. Assists in providing supervision of individuals in program activities and leisure time, on and off facility grounds. Maintains a safe and therapeutic treatment environment that meets the physical, emotional, and personal needs of program clients. Provides leadership, guidance and support to staff in assigned program.

Qualifications:

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) COVID-19 vaccine mandate requires staff without an approved medical or religious exemption to be fully vaccinated to be employed in this program.
If you are fully vaccinated, you will need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or have an approved medical or religious exemption prior to starting.


Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credits hours in a human services discipline to include but not limited to psychology, sociology, social work, education, pastoral counseling, political science, heath, recreation, criminal justice, counseling; and a minimum of two years direct care experience; OR 60 college credits from an accredited college with at least twelve credit hours in a human services discipline (as described above), and three years direct care experience. Minimum of one year of supervisory experience required.


Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.

*If you are in a non-direct role or working with Adults and applying for this position, you will be required to complete the Diana Screen. At this time, those who are already in a direct role working with children applying for another direct role working with children do not need to complete the screen.

Additionally, you must be able to complete eight days of new hire orientation class, have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adolescents with special needs and possess a valid license.


Physical Requirements:
Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.
