East Area Practice Manager

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • College degree in Business Administration or Health Administration strongly preferred
  • Minimum five years experience in a supervisory position in a medical environment
  • Knowledge of VFC and general knowledge of vaccine inventory and ordering
  • Two-years knowledge of OSHA regulations in a healthcare practice
  • Two-years knowledge HEDIS and HEDIS reporting and measures; experience in talking with HMO representatives regarding HEDIS measures
  • Two-years knowledge and experience in obtaining PCMH certification; maintaining PCMH compliance, and correcting non-compliant PCMH issues. PCMH reimbursement knowledge is exceedingly beneficial
  • Two-years knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices
  • Knowledge of basic Human Resource processes and procedures
  • General knowledge of healthcare practice billing and coding, specifically with commercial insurance
  • General knowledge of referrals process in a healthcare clinic setting
  • Two-years knowledge and experience in using EHR software; Nextgen experience is exceedingly beneficial
  • Experience in marketing
  • Experience in relationship management with insurance vendors in the Jacksonville area
  • Knowledge of facility maintenance

Duties

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Constantly monitors workflow to resolve any day to day issues.
  • Prepares activities reports for guidance of management when necessary.
  • Responsible for communicating pertinent and timely information and offering valuable input to the Executive Management Team who in turn make sound decisions about the overall direction of the medical practice of NFP.
  • Displays a caring and professional attitude and is culturally competent.
  • Maintains personal and professional growth through continuing education and other opportunities.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public.
  • Works collaboratively with Marketing Department to promote the practice in assigned area.
  • Collaborates with Senior Management in preparation for all audits and inspections
  • Responsible for the overall safe environment of the practice locations assigned, including safety training and equipment and buildings maintenance to reduce risk of injury, as well as ensure security measures are in place.
  • Any other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
