La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is seeking an energetic, highly skilled, Assistant or Associate Professor and Director for its Marriage and Family Therapy Program. The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. The candidate is expected to be a strong teacher and clinician who will establish and maintain a program of research. This is a full-time, 9-month tenure-track position with a secondary administrative appointment that includes a stipend for leading this M.A. Program in the summer months. The successful candidate will teach 4 classes during the academic year. Summer courses in excess of this will be paid as overload. This position begins no later than August 2022.
The successful candidate must possess a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy or Couple and Family Therapy from a COAMFTE-accredited program and be license-eligible as an LMFT in the state of Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will also have administrative experience, exceptional organizational and leadership skills, and experience teaching therapists-in-training.
