Dental Reception Care Team/Scheduler – Community Health of Central Washington – Ellensburg, WA

Our Ellensburg Dental Care (EDC) facility is in search of a full-time Dental Receptionist/Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exemplary customer service as the clinic’s first point of contact for patients and customers by answering multi-line telephones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, and registering new patients. Also verifies insurance information, accepts payments, and performs clerical assignments. Experience in a dental front office setting, proficiency with MS Office, and familiarity with Dentrix software strongly preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.


Job duties include:

  • Greet and screen all visitors and/or solicitors entering reception area.
  • Open and close reception department according to protocols.
  • Schedule patient appointments according to scheduling guidelines and protocols. Rescheduling appointments with records interaction in patients chart as necessary.
  • Answer telephone in cheerful manner, screens incoming calls, take appropriate messages, transfer calls when appropriate and follow through as the call was received.
  • Check-in patients, assist patients with registration packets as needed. Checks outpatient and schedules next necessary treatment.
  • Collect payments and process as required referring applicable patients to the Dental Financial counselor as needed.
  • Run reports and follows up as necessary (i.e. recall report, daily batch report). Work the recall list to ensure a full dental/hygiene schedule.
  • Verify patient insurances, check credits prior to appointments, and complete insurance run down for appropriate treatment plans working closely with the Dental Financial Counselor.
  • Verify demographics and insurance information and scan insurance card(s)/photo ID during the check-in process to ensure accuracy and completeness, as well as the correct dental provider, entered into the patient’s dental record.
  • Monitor patient check-in times and patient flow in the lobby. Keep the waiting area neat and clean.
  • Interpret for back office as needed.


Qualifications
:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Team oriented.
  • One (1) year experience in a Dental front office setting is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Experience using multi-line phones.
  • Familiar with Dentrix strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
