Customer Service Representative (Complex Respiratory Specialist) – DME – Northwest Medical – Springfield, OR

We are seeking compassionate, reliable team members who can provide excellent patient care in a variety of ways from our Springfield office.

You will help to serve our customers by communicating with patients, referral sources, and team members while efficiently performing tasks related to patient care. DME and Brightree experience preferred but not required.

About You —

  • Knowledge of complex respiratory such as tracheostomy and ventilator supplies
  • Exceptional at multi-tasking on the phone and computer
  • Self-motivated and organized
  • Ability to work efficiently both alone and as a team member, to communicate positively with customers
  • Proficient and comfortable using email transmission, internet navigation, Microsoft applications including Word and Excel, office equipment including fax machine, copier, printer and phone

Position Summary: Under general supervision, team member is responsible for the timely processing of patient supply orders. They also coordinate with patient, referral source, and respiratory care technicians to promote patient advocacy, health, and wellness.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Previous Customer Service experience necessary
  • Previous Health Care experience required
  • Previous work with complex respiratory equipment or patients, tracheostomy and ventilator supplies preferred
  • Insurance Verification & Medical Records review experience preferred

Duties include:

  • Accurate and timely loading of patient information into software system, generating all delivery paperwork for patient orders
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of products and services offered by company, specializing in tracheostomy and ventilation
  • Maintain patient files as specified in company policy
  • Process incoming orders, perform insurance verification and document verification
  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls
