We have a new opportunity for another certified medical assistant to join our team. This position is for an experienced medical assistant. Ideally the candidate will have at least 3 years of medical assistant experience. This is a full time permanent position. As a Medical Assistant you will be cross-trained to cover Front-Desk duties as well.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Record blood pressure and pulse oximetry
- Register patients according to established protocols
- Answer incoming calls and handle inquiries
- Schedule patient appointments
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
- Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy
- Maintain and manage patient records
- Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals
- Respond and comply to requests for information
- Complete other duties as assigned
- Ensure MA Stations is well maintained, neat and clean
- Cross-train with Front desk duties, check in and out, collect payment, verify insurance, etc…
Education and Experience
- At least a 2 year Medical Assistant Degree
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and diagnosis
- Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
- Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures
- Experience with MEDENT is preferred
- Ability to work in other areas of the business as requested by management
- Flexible work schedule is desired
