Vice President, Ambulatory Surgery Center – Summit Health Management, LLC – Berkeley Heights, NJ

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction, oversight and guidance for ASC Directors and site operations.
  • Supervising, managing, monitoring, coaching, developing and evaluating performance of all ASC Directors on an ongoing basis in accordance with applicable performance standards.
  • Manage strategic planning process to ensure service requirements and levels are met across the operations.
  • Manage the performance of sites through the establishment of processes and procedures with clear expectations using defined metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Manage process changes, enhancements and modifications to facilitate implementation of new or improved business processes. Communicate to ASC Directors and staff such changes and modifications using appropriate communication tool(s) focusing on the Why’s and How’s.
  • Implementing, monitoring and taking corrective measures to ensure that the Summit Health culture/mission and vision is being observed at all times, by all employees.
  • Responsible for the preparation and performance of financial budgets in addition to monthly financial projections and analysis.
  • Drive financial metrics, accountability for bottom line results, and consistent application of cost control performance within all site locations particularly on Labor Cost and COGs.
  • Lead and support cross-functional project management such as new site openings.
  • Monitor and assess key performance indicator (KPI) dashboard including metrics and measurements for all sites, continually performance manage the team.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and performance manage direct reports (ASC Directors) in their roles of managing operations and sites.
  • Develop, implement and execute best practices for operational metric measurement and achievement.
  • Ensure ASC’s are up to date on all Billing, DOH, Dept. of Labor, and other legal compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with Finance and IT to improve operations and gross margins and manage an expense budget to company’s expected variance each month.
  • Research, analyze, validate and document effectiveness of existing operational business processes and develop strategies for meeting Summit Health’s goals and objectives.
  • Provide a work environment that promotes positive energy, creativity and teamwork.
  • Perform site visits and continue to bridge connections and relationships between upper level management and site staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in, business or related field is a plus
  • Multi-site management/oversight experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience management experience a must (urgent care, medical practice, hospital, retail, hospitality, supply chain, business administration or finance)
  • Demonstrated ability in Operations Management work and process improvement is essential
  • Must exhibit strong data analysis capabilities
