Job Summary
Busy Pediatric office looking for a medical receptionist/front desk person who can grow with our practice. Main responsibilities (90%) include front desk administration, patient check-in/checkout, communicate/coordinate with the clinical staff, insurance billing/collections while providing great customer service. Occasionally (10%) pulling patients, vitals, grooming patient rooms.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service – Clear and effective communication, and friendly/courteous with patients
Patient Check-in – Obtains accurate patient and insurance information, Insurance validation, collecting copay, deductible and balance due amounts accurately. Groom Patients (pull in, check vitals) to be seen by Providers and Patient Room grooming for next patient. Appointment scheduling per office guidelines/policies. Completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance.
Patient Check-out – Collect appropriate patient responsibility payments as per office service codes, schedule follow-up appointments
Confirms next day appointments and alerts patients as to what documentation is needed, including details associated with time-of-service payment.
Answers phone calls in a timely manner and directs them appropriately
Scanning documents into electronic medical records

Requirements:
Available to work Monday thru Friday 8.15am – 5pm consistently
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Team player, nice and helpful to patients and staff
Ability to multi-task, Organizational and time management skills
Proficient computer skills.
Knowledge of clinic procedures.
Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All patients aged over 2yrs , parents and staff are required to wear a mask and temp checked inside the clinic. Patients are required to stay in their cars upon phone check in and enter thru separate doors for well visits and sick visits when called.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
