Veterinary Technician – My Pets Wellness – Franklin, TN

Title: Veterinary Technician

Work Hours: Full-time

My Pets Wellness has an immediate opening for a Veterinary Technician to join our growing team at our Westhaven clinic in Franklin, Tennessee!

Accountabilities:

  • Administrative tasks — client communication, making appointments, and taking payments.
  • Assist veterinarian in appointments — patient restraint, obtain patient history, etc.
  • Record patient vital signs.
  • Administer medications (oral, IM, IV, etc.) and other patient treatments.
  • Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters.
  • Perform in-house laboratory tests — CBC and blood chemistry, urinalysis, ear, and skin cytology.
  • Educate clients about various aspects of animal health.
  • Maintain patient records using EzyVet practice management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience as a veterinary technician working in small animal medicine.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of modern veterinary medicine and the ability to assist with surgical procedures.
  • Organizational skills highly preferred.
