The UWMC GIFT SHOP has an outstanding opportunity for a Part time, Temporary, Day Shift, RETAIL CLERK 2. The Retail Clerk 2 will perform clerical duties, retail selling, and provide customers with excellent service in a fast-paced gift shop.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accurately operate registers for all transaction types
Provide friendly and efficient customer service
Assist customers in locating, selecting and purchasing various items
Receive, check, price and stock retail goods and supplies
Replenish merchandise and maintain displays and stock levels and suggest reorders
Order gift shop items such as sundries, balloons, candy, food/beverage
Process phone orders for flora and gift items accurately and efficiently
May make bank deposits
Work with team members in a cooperative and supportive manner
Assist in training new team members and volunteers
Perform other duties assigned by Gift Shop Manager and Lead Clerk
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED certificate
One year of experience in retail selling, cash register operation, general clerical work and/or financial record keeping
Six months of additional qualifying experience may be substituted for education. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
