Director of Pricing Strategy (Global/Healthcare)


Overview of Position

The Director of Pricing Strategy will lead Change Healthcare’s corporate pricing strategy team to drive the development and management of pricing strategies and tactics. The Director will execute on projects to improve revenue, margin, and solution portfolio objectives. With insights from Change Healthcare solutions’ financial performance, competitive position, and market dynamics, this leader will drive growth across the entire portfolio of healthcare technology solutions. What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Provide overall thought leadership in identifying market opportunities, performing business and competitive analyses, and develop pricing strategies and tactics to pursue identified opportunities

  • Lead the pricing strategy team to drive cross-functional projects of sales, finance, marketing, and business unit SVPs to understand market dynamics, business performance, and devise effective pricing strategies and tactics

  • Further the pricing center of excellence to support strategic pricing decisions, develop analytics around pricing (e.g., price sensitivity/elasticity analysis, regression analysis, price waterfalls, etc.) and present plans to senior executives

  • Participate in solution development portfolio decisions

  • Work closely with sale VPs to develop sales training and collateral and drive pricing and promotional decisions


What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • 7-10 years of pricing, finance, marketing analytics, consulting, or similar experience

  • Experience in contributing to the development of product pricing and utilizing financial modeling in making rate decisions

  • Ability to create financial models for ad-hoc reporting and work with large volumes of data

  • Advanced Excel skills and analytical modeling techniques

  • Coach and mentor team members to perform at higher levels through a positive, interactive style;

  • Min 2 years’ Experience Supervisory / Management / Team Lead experience

  • Strong business acumen, with analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to understand how business model decisions impact operating model design/execution across operations, technology, risk governance and organizational design


What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to influence internal customers and senior leadership

  • Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet pricing goals within established timelines

  • Continuously explore advanced analytics in pricing

  • Strategic thinking and ability to identify growth opportunities and drive to resolution

  • Healthcare technology experience

  • A fundamental understanding of pricing concepts and frameworks
