OUTREACH AND ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Salary Range: $63,544 – $69,264

What We Do

Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco believes in the power of homeownership to create generational impact. To this end, we build homes for first-time homeowners and sustain homeownership by helping vulnerable homeowners retain their home as an asset for generations to come.

Your Impact

The Outreach and Engagement Specialist applies their relationship-building skills, commitment to equity, community knowledge, and outreach expertise to lift and oversee first-time homeownership and home preservation opportunities to eligible households across our region, with particular attention to communities who have been historically denied access to homeownership or home repair loans/credit. The successful Specialist will identify and build relationships with a wide variety of community stakeholders to publicize our programs to include and prioritize the hardest-to-reach communities. This person is strongly goal focused, setting and meeting ambitious outreach targets that are reflected both qualitatively and quantitively in our highest priority communities. The Outreach and Engagement Specialist understands that relationships are at the core of our work, and that to secure the trust and respect of the community being served, they must be inclusive, consistent, clear, and reliable. The Specialist is strategic in their outreach, recognizing that outreach methods must fit to the specific populations and communities being targeted. While the Outreach and Engagement Specialist is tech and social-media savvy, they are just as comfortable with traditional, grass-roots methods, like door-to-door canvassing, one-on-one’s, and phone banking. Never relying solely on their charisma or relational talents, the Outreach and Engagement special is an exceptional planner, who can design and implement high-impact outreach strategies, while managing multi-faceted outreach campaigns that mobilize staff, volunteers, and consultants.
