HR Generalist – UWC Transportation – Tulsa, OK

TALENT SPECIALIST
Reports to: Director of Talent Management
Compensation: $40,000-$60,000 DOE
Location: Tulsa, OK

POSITION OVERVIEW
United Warehouse Company is looking to bring on a self-starting, people-oriented Talent Specialist to support the staffing needs for our transportation and warehouse divisions. In this important role you will assist with recruiting and general HR support related needs. The main focus will be to ensure the two divisions are appropriately staffed which will involve managing the recruitment cycle from start to placement, working with the Talent Management Director on building a Talent Acquisition strategy and lastly, support department managers and any other personnel with general HR related matters. In this strategic role, it is important that the Talent Specialist understands the role of each position within the company, has strong intercommunication and partnering competencies, as much of this position will be working with site leaders and other personnel.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Partner with site managers to staff current and future business needs
  • Work both independently and in a team to accomplish human capital needs
  • Consult with managers on staffing / market trends
  • Facilitate the full-cycle recruitment process from start to placement, supporting Wichita and Tulsa needs
  • Manage job requisitions
  • Source talent for open jobs
  • Increase referral base to develop future talent pipelines
  • Pre-screen applicants for job and culture fit
  • Recommend talent to hiring managers for interviews
  • Perform administration duties such as:
  • Pre-employment administration (offer letters, background screenings, drug tests, new hire forms)
  • New hire on-boarding paperwork
  • Track staffing metrics and report to Director
  • Facilitate the new hire orientation/on-boarding
  • Support Talent Management projects when needed
  • Give site tours
  • Develop relationships with key community partners for developing additional talent pipelines
  • Open to continuous development in the scope of Human Capital strategy
  • Help promote company brand
  • Provide HR generalist support (i.e. benefit enrollment, payroll log in, payroll entries, process HR docs)
  • Maintain compliance with EEO and state and federal employment laws

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful at building relationships and growing partnerships with internal business customers
  • 2-5 years recruiting experience
  • Intermediate to advance ADP user experience
  • Preferred recruiting experience in transportation and warehousing
  • Experience with public speaking and communicating effectively
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources
  • Up to 25% travel required
