Sodexo
is seeking a detail-oriented Multi-Location Finance Controller for West Virginia University located in Morgantown, WV. The Senior Controller will work alongside the General Manager and District Manager to manage the financials forall dining services including resident dining, retail, catering and athletics. This position will need to have excellent communication skills and experience consulting and working with senior leadership. WVU is projecting $45 million in revenue. The ideal candidate will oversee various funding streams and have direct contact with clients. This position will also work on the weekly flash, forecasting, and budgeting for the units.

The successful candidate will:

  • manage monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and reconciliation of the activities of current and future contracts as assigned per contract terms;
  • conduct monthly analysis of financial performance of clients or contracts assigned;
  • work with Supply Managers and National Account Executives (NAE) to ensure all client volume is being received;
  • interact with all levels of management including NAE of each program, Regional Account Managers, corporate finance, Financial Service Center personnel as well as with the external clients for the contracts the analyst manages;
  • conduct client or contract specific reporting and analysis; and/or
  • conduct ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

Position Summary:

Manages all accounting and financial matters for either a large multi-size national account OR a large complex single location account
Key Duties
– Data Collection from field – data review, analysis and suggestion of process improvement, review of FSC spot audits, accounts receivable review, review of new business,

  • Oversight and direction of annual budgeting process & oversight and direction of period close process for all sites for Sodexo and Client, creation and maintenance of area forecasts, oversight of Project Clear compliance for portfolio.
  • Financial Training and development of Sodexo General Managers.
  • Creation, delivery & presentation of client specific financial reports as needed
  • Oversight, training and support of POS systems and other cashless technology
  • Train other controllers, analysts and field in contract interpretation, accounting procedures, system applications, and other areas

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Functional Experience – 3 years of experience in finance, accounting or related field
