Content Marketing Manager – Agency – Clarion Media Group – Remote

The Clarion Media Group—which includes The Daily Dot, the leading internet culture publication, the acclaimed science magazine Nautilus, and the Phire influencer network—is seeking a content marketing manager to oversee sponsored content, email marketing, and agency special projects.

This position is primarily responsible for developing strategies for digital marketing campaigns and executing those strategies. This position collaborates with the editorial, affiliate, sales, and tech teams and reports to the Creative Director.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Owns internal project management, keeping the agency on track to hit deadlines for external sponsor campaigns and internal projects
  • Strategizes and develops content for digital marketing including: social, email, landing pages, product pages, and digital advertising
  • Executes and reports on overall paid digital & email marketing strategy and campaign performance
  • Works with the team to ensure that the campaigns meet KPI benchmarks
  • Develops documentation and road maps for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through all channels
  • Develops creative concepts that meet the objectives of our prospective partners and sponsors
  • Supports in sponsor communication: participating in brainstorming sessions, pitching ideas to clients, and day to day management of creative production


What We’re Looking For

  • You have 2–3 years creative agency and/or editorial experience
  • You have professional level experience in copywriting and copy-editing
  • You have deep knowledge of digital marketing trends and strategies and tactics to drive business results
  • You are passionate about digital marketing and sponsorship with the ability to concept, pitch, and champion ideas for brands
  • You are technically savvy and feel comfortable making updates in WordPress and building email newsletters
  • You are comfortable and confident working as a part of a virtual team
  • You are well-versed in established social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Flipboard, Reddit) and keep up-to-date on emerging ones (e.g., TikTok)
  • You are skilled in multitasking and prioritizing in a rapidly changing environment
  • You are familiar with the media landscape and excited to take on a variety of tasks to achieve internal and external goals
