The Opportunity

As a Pricing Assets & Analytics Lead within the Strategic Pricing & Insights group, you’ll play a pivotal role in maximizing profitability through the development and enhancement of pricing assets used by our global team of Commercial Architects and optimizing the monetization of EY’s portfolio of solutions through rigorous data science and analysis. You’ll design, develop and maintain a suite of Excel-, SQL-and Web-based pricing tools covering market and competitive intelligence, pricing policies, pricing guidelines and pursuit support of large, complex consulting and managed service opportunities. You’ll design and execute the pricing and pursuit analytics program including discount and incentive model optimization, conjoint analysis, willingness to pay analysis, win loss analysis and collaborate with the Competitive Intelligence Lead to conduct market research. You’ll work closely with Director of the Strategic Pricing and Insights group to advise our Consulting Leaders on sales strategy opportunities.

Your key responsibilities

As a Pricing Assets & Analytics Lead, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of running the analytics and pricing asset development function with a focus on:

  • Pricing and competitive intelligence tools – enhance data model and integrated architecture, improve user experience, expand functionality while adhering to financial reporting requirements leveraging MS Excel, VBA and SQL
  • Analytics – build expanded analytics and data visualization function including new analytics architecture, processes and tools for accelerated ad-hoc analysis and standard reporting cycles customized to different stakeholder groups
  • Data and visualization – establish data handling, data hygiene, data cleaning and data modeling methodologies to connect structured and unstructured data using PowerBI, R, and Spotfire to uncover business opportunities
  • Decision science – integrate advanced techniques such as text mining, NLP, machine learning (supervised and unsupervised learning) supporting real time, actionable descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics
  • Business model – drive initiatives from framing the problem to conducting the research and analysis to influencing decisions to executing business outcomes
  • Storytelling – communicate complex data in a clear, compelling and actionable way to a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Team development – opportunity to select, grow and develop team commensurate with the positive impact on the business

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, data science, and development of complex pricing models
  • Outstanding proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL and PowerBI. R and Spotfire skills a bonus
  • Proven track record designing, building and maintaining analytic dashboards, data visualizations and Excel based assets
  • Strong proficiency in project management, executive presence and influencing skills
  • Effective oral (virtual/in-person) and written communications
  • High proficiency at collaborating, managing conflicting interests and dealing with ambiguity
  • A University/Bachelor’s Degree, STEM, Economics, Data Science or Analytics preferred

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • An advanced degree or MBA
  • Flexibility to travel on occasion
