Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like
You work collaboratively to write high quality, testable code that meets the Definition of Done
You strive to meet team commitments
You adopt a Test-First approach to software development, where possible in which the test is developed before the code
You participate in design and code reviews with other engineers
You create automated unit, system and acceptance tests
You participate in test plan reviews
You perform unit/module testing of software
You actively support and contribute to end of iteration demos
You are responsible for assigned integration, testing and deployment tasks
You work with product management to scope and estimate product enhancements
You design, implement, unit test software, and test software following defined processes
You fix software defects (internal or customer reported) following defined process
Your scope of work is typically at the product component/feature level
You actively foster continuous team improvement in self and team
Contribute to team retrospectives; Help to identify and resolve team impediments
You take ownership of problems and continuously strive to become a better problem solver
You write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections
You actively participate in the ongoing change management process as business and technical scope is adjusted
You maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement
You adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position
You fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer

This job is for you if
You have earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
You have a minimum of 5 years of related professional experience, preferably, software engineering experience

You have a growth mindset, seek feedback often, and are effective in continuous personal and professional development
You participate in self-directed learning activities aimed at developing expertise within technical domain, including reading relevant publications and participating in domain forums or groups etc.

Your advanced design/debugging/coding skills and problem-solving skills make you a great candidate
You build secure applications and adheres to security standards
People regard you as having excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills

You can exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or negligible amount of force
You can frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
You are comfortable with inside environmental conditions
