Counseling, Therapist IMFT / LCSW / LCPC/ Mental Health Counselor – International Behavioral Health – Remote

Provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment and counseling as needed to individuals, families, children, and couples. Collaborates with treating provider and allied health professional team to plan and direct each individual member’s treatment plan. Position can be done remote or in person in downtown Honolulu clinic location.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology or similar field from a college or university. The incumbent has 90 days to obtain clinical licensure once they become eligible to sit for LCSW examination.

Experience: Clinical experience is required (e.g. practicum placement and/or postgraduate experience). Demonstrated experience with individual, family and group therapy as a Clinician; is preferred.

Knowledge: Knowledge of DSM-V, family system theories, various effective treatment modalities, specifically Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and their effective application for acute mood disorders. Experience with clinical documentation such as progress notes and treatment plans.

Essential Functions:

  • Assesses, develops and coordinates a clinical treatment program for Health Plan members with acute or chronic behavioral health concerns. Consults with team regarding diagnosis, strengths and deficits of client , as needed or appropriate. * Provides outpatient psychotherapy to individuals and groups.
  • Charts client’s treatments and progress in accordance with state regulations and department procedures with in 72 hrs via EHR system
  • Follows Joint Commission behavioral health applicable standards
  • Day, evenings, weekends & holiday hours are available

Duties:

  • May include Group, Family , Couples, and Individual psychotherapy
  • Intake assessments, crisis intervention, psychotherapy, and psycho-education with adults and adolescents.
  • Applicant should be knowledgeable and experienced in and committed to brief individual treatment and long and short term modalities.
  • Ability to work well in an interdisciplinary team.

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards as is related to member treatment, patient rights, and member/patient confidentiality.
  • Experience with clinical documentation via EHR system
  • Experience with video and telephonic therapy.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 – $50.00 per hour
