Job Description:
- Measure and record patient vital signs to include blood pressure, temperature, pulse, weight, height in patient chart
- Draw blood work on patients as required
- Administer injections as required
- Perform EKG’s as required
- Maintain urine samples
- Assist with filing medical records
- Insure appropriate medical supply inventory
- Maintain accurate record keeping of all blood and urine specimens
- Assist with answering phones and scheduling appointments as needed
- Pull discharged patient charts when required.
- Put intake packages together
- Order supplies utilizing appropriate carriers as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Weekday hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certificate from a Medical Assistant training program
- Certification a plus
- Must have Phlebotomist training/experience
- One or more years medical assistant experience preferred
- Knowledge of universal precautions
- Punctuality/Reliability
- High level attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills required
- Confidence with “can do” attitude
- Customer focused; courteous/pleasant manner
- Maintain a clean/sanitized work station
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with physicians as required.
- Ability to meet all deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 – $14.00 per hour
