Title: Healthcare Risk Business Analyst
Location: Detroit, MI (Initially remote)
Duration: 12+ months
Role Type: W2 Contract Engagement

Job/Role Description

• Responsible for assisting and supporting the business in the administration, development, maintenance, documentation, and training on internal tools and business services.
• This includes the entire Risk Adjustment product suite supporting a scaled agile work flow using JIRA and Confluence.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluation, recommendation, implementation and documentation of new and improved production workflows, work processes for systems, and reporting objects to improve business operations and evolution of product suite.
• Assist and support in the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of application lifecycle development / PPM (Program & Portfolio Mgt.) tools and supporting business processes.
• Assist with documentation, training, and roll out of product lifecycle development and supporting business processes.
• Assist personnel (both internal and external) by answering questions, supplying information and training.
• Represent department and division as requested on work groups and special assignments.
• Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with business partners.

Required:

• Expertise using JIRA software
• Expertise using Confluence software
• Expertise in agile scaling including SAFe
• SQL/SQL Server expertise
• Healthcare experience; very comfortable with healthcare data Medicare Advantage or Commercial (ACA) risk adjustment experience
• Experience and expertise in business and systems analytics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead and contribute to process improvement programs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact with all levels of all personnel.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as business requirements, CMS regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe environment, working with scrum teams Jira Confluence
• Experience writing and grooming stories
• Analytical skills, ability to understand system architecture, data workflow processes
• Familiarity with RAPS/EDPS and/or EDGE submissions
• Experience presenting to groups or multi-level audiences
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• SAFe certifications preferred
