Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Sitter/Companion, Respite
Assignment: The PCA, Companion, Respite is trained to provide non- medical services in the home that encourage and assist individuals, along with errands, light housekeeping and incidental transportation. The Sitter/Companion, Respite functions under the direction, instruction and supervision of the Agency Supervisor.
- Running errands.
- Providing companionship and conversation.
- Washing and Ironing laundry.
- Preparation of light meals and clean up.
- Providing verbal medication reminders.
- Practices honesty, dependability and confidentiality in all patient and family matters.
- Accompanying clients to appointment, Performing light housekeeping task( making beds, changing linen, ironing ,dusting, vacuuming; cleaning bathroom, kitchen.
Qualifications
- 3 years experience working as a personal care aide
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain empathetic to patient needs
- High attention to detail
- Certifications that may apply CPR
