Coverance Insurance Solutions is a national insurance agency located in Long Beach, CA. We sell a diverse set of Medicare plans from multiple carriers nationwide, over the phone. There are over 10,000 new seniors eligible for Medicare every day! This is a remote position.
We are looking for a full-time Senior SQL Developer to work directly with our CTO.
This is a full-time position that includes medical, dental and vision insurance.
Job Function:
- Implementation of SSIS ETL process and jobs, Data Integration and Data Transfer, as well as Optimization and improving Data Structures and Deadlocks.
- Write raw and efficient T-SQL code without the use of tools.
- Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems with the MS Azure platform.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Participate in requirements and design review meetings to create comprehensive test strategies/plans
- Design, create, enhance, and maintain detailed test cases and conduct hands-on testing, including integration testing
- Drive the automation process of collecting new data and the refinement of existing sources to continue improving our tools and build predictive analytics over time
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience database development in Microsoft SQL 2014/2016
- 5+ years’ experience in Transact SQL
- 3+ years’ experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) development within the Visual Studio environment or Azure
- You have the ability to understand system architecture, design, implementation and succinctly develop test approach and test cases to deliver high-quality results.
- You can work proactively, independently and as part of a team on multiple tasks and projects, and quickly learn new technologies
- Hands-on knowledge with Microsoft and Azure SQL.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and people skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a regulated environment (CLIA, HIPAA, SOX, and FDA) is a plus
- Experience working in the Insurance world a plus
- B.S or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related study or equivalent project experience
