The Walsh County Sheriff’s office is seeking applicants for a part-time Corrections Nurse. The Corrections Nurse is to oversee the health needs of all inmates within the Walsh County Correctional facility. The Corrections Nurse performs a variety of professional nursing services for inmates related to planning, organizing, monitoring, and implementing nursing and medical care services. The Corrections Nurse monitors overall physical and mental health and determines need for physician care or other medical treatments. This position is responsible for the medication and inmate medical records. The successful applicant must demonstrate proven leadership skills with minimal supervision and must be a licensed registered nurse in the state of ND; bachelor’s of nursing and 1-3 years of general nursing experience preferred.
