  • Responsible for leading and managing Evans’ recruiting efforts to assist with implementing the overall Evans Talent Acquisition strategy. This includes sourcing and screening candidates, filling current positions and developing and maintaining a candidate pipeline in anticipation of future needs.
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Ensure inclusive recruiting practices throughout the entire lifecycle.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the current and future needs of Evans.
  • Partners with Business Development and Client Delivery to understand future workforce needs and proactively engage with candidates to meet emerging talent demands.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager to identify the hiring criteria and assists with the creation of the external position description.
  • Post external position descriptions online via our website and Indeed.
  • Update and maintain our Applicant Tracking System to accurately capture the latest information for both the positions and candidates to show which candidates are being considered for which roles, where each candidate is in the recruiting process, any major updates for each position, etc.
  • Review candidate applications against the position they applied for, other potential positions that could be a fit, and in consideration for our pipeline if we don’t have a position that aligns right now but their experience aligns with Evans’ in-demand services.
  • Schedule interviews by coordinating between candidates and the interview team.
  • Facilitate kick-off sessions for new positions involving the appropriate hiring manager, program manager, and recruiting personnel to get a complete picture of the position and the ideal candidate.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the weekly recruiting update meeting, providing candidate and position updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • As required, conduct pipeline and applicant phone screens and in-person interviews.
  • Capture metrics to analyze the health of our recruiting process to provide ideas on process performance improvement
  • Update recruiting resources (e.g., processes, templates, Evans website) to accurately reflect the current recruiting roles and process.
  • Evaluate, research, and recommend process improvements for the recruiting process.
  • Act as a brand ambassador that markets candidates that would enhance Evans talent pool. This includes designing and providing content for the Evans website that connects with the people Evans is looking to attract and run events designed to attract candidates to Evans.
  • Create content for our social media accounts to support our employment and service brand.
  • Identify and engage with alternative sources for finding candidates to support Evans in diversifying its workforce
  • Act as the liaison with recruiting partners and vendors.
  • Collaborate with human resources to ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and company policies.
  • Stay knowledgeable on recruiting and sourcing best practices and trends.

The following are skills that are specific to this role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or in progress (i.e., management, human resources, business administration, communications, hospitality, etc.).
  • At least 7 years of experience working autonomously in a recruiting role, including writing job requisitions, reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, coordinating interviews, etc. (or 10 years with no degree)
  • Solid knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws as it relates to recruitment and interviewing of candidates.
  • Experience using Paylocity, Doodle, Calendly, and SurveyGizmo is a plus but not required.
  • Proactive resourcefulness and creativity in helping to source candidates.
  • Persistence, proactive and working with a sense of urgency to reduce potential delays in the hiring process.
  • Clear yet friendly oral and written communication.
  • Excellent oral and written comprehension.
  • Ability to market and authentically promote the Evans culture and brand as the “face of Evans”.
  • Accurate and diligent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • People and relationship-oriented – focused on building connections with candidates and able to match the recruiting team’s requirements with candidate skills, experience and strengths.
  • The ability to work steadily with some predictable, day-to-day tasks, as well as think clearly and respond quickly to emerging and pressing requests.
