Pacific EyeCare of Poulsbo is looking for a skilled Ophthalmic Technician Supervisor.
You would be responsible for coordinating the activities of all technicians in both locations through direct oversight or delegation of various responsibilities to other technicians.
Duties include:
- Assists in recruiting , hiring, training, of technical personnel in collaboration with the administrative team.
- Supervises ophthalmic technical personnel, including preparation of personnel evaluations; write and perform with reviews for technical staff
- Work with the administrative team to establish productivity goals.
- Motivate staff to meet goals.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a training program for clinical staff
- Oversee the appropriate scheduling of technical staff in accordance with clinic needs; approves time off requests and manages time, attendance and overtime
- Participates in regular management team meetings
- Consults with practice administrator on problems and interpretation of policies and procedures.
- Develops and implements protocols for continuing education of technical staff
- Oversee the planning and organizing of in-service training programs
- Performs patient work-ups, diagnostic testing, scribe for the doctors and assist with minor procedures.
- Answers patient’s questions and telephone inquiries, including but not limited to, attaining resolution to patient inquiries.
- Oversee the continual maintenance of all clinic equipment to ensure proper functionality; requests repairs, maintenance, and IT assistance as needed.
- Works closely with team leaders with understanding that teamwork is critical for practice success.
- Maintains physician patient flow.
- Oversees ordering of clinical supplies/inventory.
- Performs other related duties and activities as assigned.
