Bookkeeper – Retina Specialists – Towson, MD

Recruitment Objective: Seeking an experienced bookkeeper for our specialty medical practice. Our well-established, high quality practice offers a great opportunity for a motivated individual to grow professionally in a collaborative and positive environment.

General qualifications:

· Highly motivated, self-starter

· Effective written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent data entry skills

· Ability to communicate complex data clearly

· Familiarity with a wide range of financial transactions including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

· Attention to detail and accuracy

Specific professional requirements:

· Minimum three to five years’ relevant experience working in accounting and bookkeeping.

· Advanced skills with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

· Experience with accounts payable, account receivable, and general ledger

· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Position Responsibilities:

· Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner

· Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed basis

· Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner

· Perform all activities related to accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments.

· Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition.

· Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data

· Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

· Help foster a “team approach” with co-workers throughout the Practice to benefit the entire organization and best serve the patients’ needs.

· Performs other duties as required.

The position offers competitive salary, health insurance, PTO and pension plan. Compensation is based on experience and testing may be required during interview. Resume, salary requirements and three (3) professional references are required to be considered for this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $29.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
To keep our staff and patients safe we are taking temperatures at arrival of all staff members. Patients are screeened at arrival with temperatures and a short questionnaire. We also spread out patients out in the waiting room to enhance our safety.
