As a new Service Technician for MH Equipment, you’ll attend our Technician Academy where you will be introduced to the forklift industry and the types of equipment we service. You’ll be enrolled in various manufacturer product certification courses designed to help you become an Elite Level Technician. We have a staff of professional trainers who will teach you how to stay safe while working on equipment – everything from the basics of working on engines to the more complicated computer diagnostic and control systems. Our Technician Academy will help you gain the skills and knowledge necessary to handle today’s most sophisticated engine power technology.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide industry leading customer satisfaction. Communicate with customers, vendors, and other employees.
  • Diagnose repairs for lift trucks, equipment, and other identified products, using a laptop computer, experience, manuals, and other industry sources.
  • Assess the need for additional repairs or maintenance, and communicate findings and potential solutions with supervisor and customer.
  • Make repairs accurately and timely with minimum required call-backs or re-work.
  • Perform warranty repairs and complete related documents as instructed by the company and the supervisor.
  • Keep supervisor advised of job progress, delays, changes, status, etc.
  • Thoroughly and neatly document information related to the job and your work.
  • Accurately account for drive and labor hours on daily time card and submit daily.
  • Accurately account for all parts, supplies, and van inventory on work order tickets, PM sheets, etc.
  • Provide the parts, service, and sales departments the needed information to provide the right solutions for the job.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tools, van, customer facilities, and shop.
  • Keep up-to-date with new equipment and advances in diagnostic techniques and repairs.
  • Adhere to all Company Policies and Work Rules.

Job Requirements:

  • A technical background is required.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, fuel systems, charging systems are a plus.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Must have communication skills and be able to complete accurate paperwork.
  • Must have computer skills or the aptitude and willingness to learn how to use a computer and software.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Must have a good attitude and be able to successfully work in a team environment.
  • This position may be an apprentice or journeyman position, depending upon qualifications of applicants.
  • Steel toed work boots are mandatory.
  • Regular and prompt attendance is required.
  • Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress and preparation.

Working Conditions: Employee is expected to work forty hours per week plus overtime as required. This is an hourly position.
