Distribution Tech – Surgery – Washington Regional – Fayetteville, AR

Responsible for ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of supplies used in the Surgery Department. Assists the R/S Coordinator with inventory and distribution of instruments. Functions as Surgical Services Supply Pyxis System Administrator, provides reporting on usage, discrepancies, cost, inventory levels as needed. Majority of time is spent walking and/or standing (70%) and sitting for short periods (30%) with frequent lifting, transporting and pushing/pulling of up to 100 lbs

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL AND SKILL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

High School diploma or equivalent. Must possess excellent telecommunication skills. Computer literate. Knowledge of medical terminology with operating room background preferred. Knowledge of medical equipment and supplies helpful. This position is required to order, receive, store and re-stock syringes, hypodermic and other treatment needles, IV and irrigation solutions.
