Health Insurance Specialist – Rainmakers Strategic Solutions LLC – Remote

Rainmakers Strategic Solutions, LLC, a certified SBA 8(a) and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), is looking to expand capabilities in comprehensive Stakeholder Training and Program Support initiatives in support of federal healthcare market clients.

Key Responsibilities

Senior health care consulting professional with extensive knowledge and understanding with the private health insurance industry, health insurance exchanges, and the Affordable Care Act.

This position will interface directly with and collaborates with government stakeholders to:

  • Understand their training needs,
  • Offer program planning recommendations for upcoming training events,
  • Research complex issues,
  • Conducts needs assessments,
  • Performs quality assurance activities,
  • Serve as a subject matter expert providing input for training content and responsible for client satisfaction.

Important Tasks

  • Account and Relationship Management
  • Ability to perform needs assessments and data collection
  • Research all program issues and develop the appropriate response that includes CMS regulations, or policy issuances for identified client needs.
  • Act as a Rainmaker representative to contribute to discussions and planning sessions with government stakeholders on impacts of program policy developments on training and program support requirements.
  • Evaluate proposed, modified, or new legislation and regulations to assess the impact on Marketplace Exchange programs and translate into training requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education (REQUIRED)

Masters’ in Business Administration or Management, Healthcare Management/Administration, or related field

Relevant Knowledge

  • Federal Health Insurance operations
  • Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA)

Years of Experience

10 years

Relevant Past Experience (REQUIRED)

Account Management and Customer Relationship Management, Health Insurance industry experience, federal contracting experience.

Special Skills

  • Federal government project and healthcare project experience desired
  • Exceptional written and oral skills sufficient to communicate effectively with business stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self‐directed and detail-oriented
  • Experienced in technical writing
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
