DSHS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 4
As an LPN, you seek to use your “heart and mind” to improve lives on a daily basis and lead others to do the same. We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Special Commitment Center on McNeil Island. This is a great opportunity to make an impact through implementing safety standards in a unique, small community environment. The target shift for this role is Sun-Wed 130p-1130pm, though this announcement may be used to fill other vacancies.
Some of what you’ll do:
- Provide residents with ordered medications
- Document medication orders
- Obtain secondary signature for medication orders to validate documentation
- Communicate by phone or fax to pharmacy
- Organize medication room
- Provide inventory of medications and order more as needed
- Sign off on pharmacy delivery
- Provide updates of MARS (Medication Administration Records) for changes or needs of renewals
- Communicate with provider for renewals

Who should apply?
- Professionals with a valid license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Washington
AND
- Two years of experience as an LPN
AND
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification OR ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (ACLS preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,524.00 – $72,756.00 per year
