Research Assistant Professor – University of the Sciences in Philadelphia – Philadelphia, PA

We are seeking to hire a researcher with a focus on HIV-1 pathogenesis and the application of molecular virology to the study of HIV-1 latency. The candidate will be expected to support ongoing research in the Klase lab as well as develop a strong independent research program in the field of viral pathogenesis. It is expected that the position will be filled by someone capable of mentoring graduate students, publishing regularly in scientific journals and aiding in procurement of funding for the lab.

Duties will include mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students in research, development of an independent research program, creation of collaborative opportunities with current USciences faculty, publication of peer reviewed journal articles, some committee service, the writing and receiving of scientific grants.
